About the Journal

The Critegal was established to promote academic research and foster debate on contemporary legal issues. It is a double-blind peer-reviewed and edited Journal focusing on an interdisciplinary approach towards legal writing. The remit of the Journal is not restricted to any particular field of law but is broad enough to include national and international legal and political issues.

This Journal invites Research Papers in the areas of:

  • General Corporate Laws
  • Banking and Finance
  • Competition Laws
  • ADR Systems
  • Intellectual Property Laws
  • Mergers and Acquisitions and,
  • Investment Laws

About the Competition

This competition can be an excellent opportunity for the students to explore and develop their writing skills. The endeavour is to instil in students a unique expression of thought on paper and provide them with a space for growth, improvement, and better learning.

Perks

  • All the manuscripts, which clear our marking and review criteria, shall be published in Volume II Issue III of The Critegal Journal.
  • The authors for all the published manuscripts (including the best paper and top 15) shall receive a ‘Certificate of Publication.’
  • The top 3 entries will receive a ‘Certificate of Merit.’
  • The top 15 entries shall receive ‘Special Mention’ on the Instagram account of ‘The Critegal.’
  • ‘Participation Certificates’ will be awarded to all the entries.

Specific Guidelines for the Manuscript

  • Author(s) – Each manuscript may have up to two authors. The manuscript itself should not contain any part of the identity of the author(s).
  • The manuscript should compulsorily consist of an Abstract.
  • All Manuscripts must follow the following formatting guidelines:
  • Font Style – Garamond
  • Font Size – 12
  • Line Spacing – 1.5
  • Margins – 2.54 cm (“Normal”) on each side of the page
  • Citations and References: All relevant sources shall be duly acknowledged as footnotes in the following format:
    • Font Style – Garamond
    • Font Size – 10
    • Line Spacing – 1
  • Abstract: The manuscript shall contain an abstract of not more than 300 words.
  • Word Limit: The word limit excluding the footnotes will be 4000 words.
