About the Organiser
The Kanoria School of Law for Women (KSLW), established in 2018 and affiliated to Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Law University, is a pioneering institution based in Jaipur dedicated to nurturing women lawyers with a strong foundation in justice, equity, and legal excellence. The college aims to produce the next generation of ethical and socially conscious legal professionals.

About the Event
KSLW is back with its 5th edition of Parley, a national-level online debate competition aimed at encouraging critical thinking on pressing legal and social issues. Parley 5.0 provides a unique platform for law students to showcase their oratory and analytical skills while debating topics of contemporary relevance.

Last Date to Register: 6th June 2025
Date of Competition: 13–14 June 2025

Eligibility Criteria

Open to all law students (3-year or 5-year programs) from BCI-recognised institutions
Maximum three teams per institution (first-come, first-served)
Teams can be formed across institutions
Past winners of Parley are not eligible to participate

Debate Topics

Preliminary Round: Efficacy of Cyber Laws in India
Semi-Final: Courts should uphold constitutional morality over public sentiments
Final: Relevance of Human Rights Institutions in Contemporary India

Format and Rules

Each team has two speakers: one For and one Against the motion
Medium: English
Time Limits:
- Preliminary & Semi-Final: 3+1 minutes per speaker
- Final: 5+1 minutes per speaker
Dress Code: Indian or Western formals
Attendance at the Inaugural and Valedictory ceremonies is mandatory for certification
