Greetings from the National Law University Odisha!
National Law University Odisha is organising a National Online Consultation on Exploring Effective Ways to Deaccelerate Tobacco Use in India on June 29, 2023 (Thursday) from 11:00 am to 12:30pm. The Consultation is a part of the two-year long Project on Tobacco Control Initiatives that the University is executing in collaboration with The International Union Against Tuberculosis and Lung Diseases.
The Consultation aims to receive expert’s opinion to identify law, policy and implementation gap that require reform to reduce the tobacco prevalence in the country.The consultation will aim at exploring the ways in which tobacco prevalence and use can be reduced in India, through policy, education, cultural changes and other such mechanism. The identified ways will serve as a focal point to work in tobacco control with a targeted approach. Specific focus of the consultation will be the protection of children and youth from tobacco consumption.
