ABOUT THE ORGANIZER

Symbiosis International (Deemed University) (SIU) was established in the year 1971. Symbiosis Law School, Pune (SLS Pune) has been a constituent of SIU since 2002.  The India Today-Nielsen study has placed SLS-P among the top 10 law schools in India every year since 2007. It is listed as one of the top three law schools in the Super Excellence Survey 2019 by GHRDC, and it is ranked number fiveby the National Institution Ranking Framework (NIRF) of the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India.

Symbiosis Law School, Pune is gearing up to host its annual extravaganza, Symbhav 2025. This event serves as a convergence point for colleges nationwide, coming together to celebrate cultural, sports, and legal endeavours. With its diverse array of activities, the festival aims to create a vibrant atmosphere, fostering connections among students from various fields of study. Since its inception in February 2009, Symbhav has consistently expanded its influence, leaving a significant footprint in the realm of student engagement. Over the years, it has showcased a plethora of talent and organized more than 40 events spanning across Law, Culture, Literature, Sports, Fine Arts, and Academia. The eagerly awaited 17th Edition of Symbhav is scheduled to kick off on April 02, 2025, promising four days of excitement and enrichment until April 05, 2025.

ABOUT THE EVENTS

There will be six competitions as part of our cultural and legal fest this year:

1. 1^st Nithin Patil MemorialSymArbitrate Advocacy Deal Mediation Competition[April 3 & 4,2025]
2. 1^st Nithin Patil MemorialSymArbitrate Advocacy Negotiation Competition, 2025[April 3 & 4,2025]
3. 1^st Nithin Patil MemorialSymArbitrate Advocacy Client Counselling Competition, 2025[April 3 & 4, 2025]
4. 1^st Nithin Patil MemorialSymArbitrate Advocacy Settlement Agreement Drafting Competition, 2025[March 25, 2025: Submission]
5. 1^st Nithin Patil MemorialSymArbitrate Advocacy Judgement Writing Competition, 2025 [March 25, 2025: Submission]
6. Legal Policy Drafting Competition on “EU Climate Justice”, 2025 [March 25, 2025: Submission]

TEAM COMPOSITION AND REGISTRATION PROCEDURES

1^st Nithin Patil Memorial SymArbitrate Advocacy Deal Mediation Competition, 2025.

1. The participants shall be from any of the 3-year LLB or 5-year Integrated LLB Courses.Each team will consist of Three Participants (Client,Counsel&Mediator) and they shall be from the same institution.
2. The registration fee for the event is Rs.3000/- per team and all the participating institutions/teams must registerby filling out the Registration Form on or before March 17, 2025, on thislink- https://forms.gle/CXT46dEDFrFMhiv16
3. The registrations will be accepted on a first-come-first-serve basis and any change in the registration must be informed to the organizers at the earliest, there will be a maximum cap of 2 teams per institution.
4. Each team must register for their roles in the competition. After registration, these roles cannot be changed.

1^st Nithin Patil MemorialSymArbitrate Advocacy Negotiation Competition, 2025.

1. The competition is open for students who are currently pursuing LLB via a three-year / five-year course.Each participant must contest individually.
2. All the participating institutions/individuals have to register by filling out the Registration Form– https://forms.gle/CXT46dEDFrFMhiv16on or beforeMarch 17, 2025.
3. The registrations will be accepted on a first-come-first-serve basis and any change in the registration must be informed to the organizers at the earliest.
4. The participants will be required to pay Rs.1600/- per team as registration fees.

1^st Nithin Patil MemorialSymArbitrate Advocacy Client Counselling Competition, 2025.

1. The participants shall be from any of the 3-year LLB or 5-year Integrated LLB Courses.Each team will consist of two participants, and they shall be from the same institution, with each team comprising of 1 Client & 1 Counsel.
2. Team(s) may not be altered after registration.
3. Registration fees for the Client Counselling event is Rs.2500/- per team.All the participating institutions/teams have to register by filling out the Registration Form-https://forms.gle/CXT46dEDFrFMhiv16on or before March 17, 2025.
4. The registrations will be accepted on a first-come-first-serve basis and any change in the registration must be informed to the organizers at the earliest.

1^st Nithin Patil MemorialSymArbitrate Advocacy Settlement Agreement Drafting Competition, 2025.

1. Each team shall consist of a minimum of (01) one participant and a maximum of two (02) participants belonging to the same college.The participants shall be pursuing a 3-year LLB or 5-year integrated LLB programme from any college within India.The team composition may not be altered after registration.
2. The last date of Registration is March 17, 2025, and the samemust be completed on this Registration Form-https://forms.gle/CXT46dEDFrFMhiv16. The Registration feefor the competition is Rs. 500/- per individual, for which the payment details share be shared with the registered participants on their Email IDs.
3. The Settlement Agreement is to be submitted via the Google form both .docx and pdf latest by 17:00 HRS. IST, March 25, 2025.

1^st Nithin Patil Memorial: Symarbitrate Advocacy-Judgemet Writing Competition, 2025

1. The participants shall be pursuing a 3-year LLB or 5-year integrated LLB programme from any college within India.Each team shall consist of a minimum of (01) one participant and a maximum two (02) participants belonging to the same college.
2. The registration fee for the event is Rs. 500/- per individual and all the participating institutions/teams must registerby filling out the Registration Form on or before March 17, 2025, on thelink- https://forms.gle/CXT46dEDFrFMhiv16
3. The Judgement Writing is to be submitted via the Google form both .docx and pdflatest byMarch 25, 2025
4. The team composition may not be altered after registration.

Legal Policy Drafting Competition on “EU Climate Justice”, 2025

1. Participation is open to all students of law, economics, humanities and relatedbackgrounds.Each team shall consist of two (2) participants belonging to the same college.
2. The team composition may not be altered after registration.

AWARDS AND CERTIFICATES

Participation certificates will be awarded to all participants, in all of the above competitions. The awards of ‘Winner’ and ‘Runner Up’ will be awarded in the 1^st Nithin Patil Memorial SymArbitrate Advocacy Deal Mediation Competition, 2025, 1^st Nithin Patil Memorial SymArbitrate Advocacy Negotiation Competition, 2025, 1^st Nithin Patil Memorial SymArbitrate Advocacy Settlement Agreement Drafting Competition, 2025, 1^st Nithin Patil MemorialSymArbitrate Advocacy Judgement Writing Competition, 2025, Legal Policy Drafting Competition on “EU Climate Justice”, 2025. The awards of ‘Best Client’&‘Best Counsel’ will be awarded in the 1^st Nithin Patil MemorialSymArbitrate Advocacy Client Counselling Competition, 2025. All the competitions carry attractive cash prizes.
