NAIR IP LLP is inviting applications for the position of Trademark Associate. This opportunity is ideal for legal professionals with 3–5 years of experience in trademark prosecution, portfolio management, and intellectual property law who are looking to work on domestic and international trademark matters.

Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct trademark clearance and availability searches
• Advise clients on registrability, risk assessment, and filing strategies
• Draft and file trademark applications before the Indian Trade Marks Registry
• Handle examination reports and prepare responses to objections
• Prepare hearing submissions and represent matters before the Trade Marks Registry
• Manage prosecution timelines and statutory deadlines
• Handle renewals, assignments, recordals, and post-registration procedures
• Advise on trademark infringement and passing-off matters
• Draft cease-and-desist notices, legal notices, and enforcement strategies
• Assist in domain name disputes and online brand protection initiatives
• Manage domestic and international trademark portfolios
• Coordinate with clients, internal teams, and foreign associates

Eligibility & Preference:
• LL.B. (3-year or 5-year programme) from a recognized university
• Enrollment with the Bar Council of India preferred
• LL.M. in Intellectual Property Rights will be an added advantage
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in trademark prosecution and portfolio management
• Experience with a law firm, IP boutique, or corporate IP department preferred
• Exposure to international trademark practice and Madrid Protocol matters will be an added advantage
