Job Description:
AK & Partners is inviting applications for the position of Senior Associate (General Corporate) at its New Delhi office. The firm is seeking experienced corporate lawyers who can independently manage transactional and regulatory matters, lead teams, and build strong client relationships. Key Responsibilities:
• Independently handling corporate and regulatory matters from inception to completion
• Advising clients on RBI, FEMA, Payment Systems, NBFC, IRDAI, SEBI, and PMLA-related issues
• Managing transactional advisory assignments and compliance matters
• Leading and mentoring junior associates
• Building and maintaining client relationships
• Contributing to legal knowledge management and thought leadership initiatives
• Supporting M&A, corporate advisory, and financial regulatory projects
Eligibility & Preference:
• Minimum 4 years of post-qualification experience (PQE)
• Experience in Corporate Advisory, M&A, or Financial Regulatory Compliance
• Experience at a law firm or regulated entity with substantial transactional ownership
• Leadership and team management experience
• Strong drafting, analytical, advisory, and client-management skills
• Litigation and dispute resolution experience alone will not qualify for this role
