Job Description:
Sagar Chandra & Associates is inviting applications from experienced legal professionals for a position in its Intellectual Property Portfolio Management team. The role involves managing and supporting clients’ global intellectual property portfolios, including trademarks, copyrights, patents, industrial designs, and domain names, while working on prosecution, enforcement, litigation support, due diligence, and commercial IP transactions.

Key Responsibilities:
• Managing global trademark, copyright, patent, industrial design, and domain name portfolios
• Coordinating IP clearance searches, filing strategies, prosecution, renewals, assignments, licences, and maintenance activities
• Drafting and reviewing IP-related agreements, including licences, assignments, coexistence, settlement, franchise, and brand collaboration agreements
• Supporting IP litigation through evidence preparation, litigation tracking, and coordination with external counsel
• Managing global external counsel and monitoring statutory deadlines through IP docketing systems
• Assisting with IP docketing software implementation and portfolio data validation
• Coordinating trademark enforcement, anti-counterfeiting initiatives, customs recordals, cease-and-desist actions, and online brand protection activities
• Conducting IP due diligence for acquisitions, licensing, and commercial transactions
• Preparing portfolio reports, management dashboards, expenditure reports, and status updates
• Maintaining electronic records and providing strategic legal support on global intellectual property matters
Eligibility & Preference:
• 4–8 years of Post-Qualification Experience (PQE)
• Experience in Intellectual Property portfolio management and prosecution
• Strong drafting, analytical, and communication skills
• Ability to manage global IP portfolios and coordinate with multiple stakeholders
