Position:
• Associate – Real Estate Law

Location:
• Chennai

Experience Required:
• 2–3 years of Post-Qualification Experience (PQE)

Role Overview:
This role is suited for a legal professional looking to build strong expertise in real estate transactions, title due diligence, and property advisory. You will be working on live mandates, interacting with clients, and handling documentation across the lifecycle of property deals.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Due Diligence & Title Verification
• Conducting detailed title searches and verification of property documents
• Reviewing chain of title, encumbrances, and regulatory approvals
• Identifying legal risks and preparing due diligence reports

2. Drafting & Documentation
• Drafting and vetting:
• Sale deeds
• Lease agreements
• Development agreements
• Joint venture agreements
• Reviewing transaction documents and ensuring legal compliance

3. Advisory & Compliance
• Advising clients on real estate laws and regulatory frameworks
• Ensuring compliance with local land laws and statutory requirements
• Assisting in structuring real estate transactions

4. Client & Transaction Management
• Coordinating with clients, developers, and stakeholders
• Managing timelines and documentation for ongoing transactions
• Supporting negotiations and execution of deals

Key Requirements:
• LL.B. degree from a recognised university
• Strong command over English and Tamil (both written and spoken)
• Prior hands-on experience in real estate/property law matters

Skills & Attributes Preferred:
• Strong drafting and documentation skills
• Analytical approach to title verification and risk assessment
• Attention to detail in handling property records and agreements
• Ability to manage multiple transactions simultaneously
• Professional communication and client-handling skills
