About the Role:
A Tier 1 Law Firm is inviting applications for the position of Associate Lawyer in its Investment Funds Practice at its Mumbai office. This is a strong opportunity for candidates looking to build or deepen their expertise in fund formation, structuring, and regulatory advisory within a top-tier corporate practice.
The role involves working on high-value domestic and cross-border transactions, offering exposure to sophisticated clients and complex legal frameworks.
Practice Area:
• Investment Funds / Private Equity / Asset Management
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in structuring and formation of investment funds
• Draft, review, and negotiate fund documentation and agreements
• Advise clients on regulatory and compliance aspects relating to funds
• Support transactions involving private equity and venture capital investments
• Conduct legal research and assist in delivering strategic legal advice
• Work closely with senior lawyers on complex, high-value mandates
Eligibility & Requirements:
• 2–3 years of post-qualification experience (PQE)
• Prior experience in a law firm is mandatory
• Exposure to investment funds / PE / corporate practice preferred
• Strong drafting, analytical, and communication skills
• Ability to work in a high-performance, deadline-driven environment
Important Note:
• Internship experience will not be considered as PQE
• Candidates must have relevant law firm experience
