Job Description:
AK & Partners is inviting applications for the position of Associate in its General Corporate, M&A, and Regulatory Practice. This is a transactional role offering direct involvement in live deals, corporate advisory work, financial regulatory matters, and M&A transactions from day one.
The firm advises on fintech regulation, NBFC compliance, payment systems law, insurance intermediary regulations, corporate transactions, and commercial advisory matters.

Key Responsibilities:
• Drafting Share Purchase Agreements (SPAs), Shareholders’ Agreements, Term Sheets, and other transaction documents
• Conducting legal due diligence on regulated entities
• Advising on RBI, FEMA, SEBI, and Companies Act compliance matters
• Supporting execution and closing of corporate transactions
• Assisting in fintech, NBFC, payment systems, and insurance regulatory matters
• Providing corporate and commercial advisory support
Eligibility & Requirements:
• Minimum 1 year of post-qualification experience in:
- Corporate Advisory
- Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A)
- Agreement Drafting
- Financial Regulatory Compliance
• Experience must be gained at a law firm
• Strong drafting, transaction management, and legal research skills
• Exposure to financial services regulation will be an added advantage
• Interest in building a long-term career in corporate and regulatory practice

• Freshers are not eligible for this role.
• Candidates with experience exclusively in litigation, arbitration, or dispute resolution will not be considered.
