About the Opportunity:
Shraff Legal, Advocates is inviting applications for the position of Associate Advocate. The role is ideal for young lawyers interested in building a long-term career in litigation and counsel practice, particularly in taxation and white-collar crime matters.

Position:
• Associate Advocate

📍 Location: Kolkata

Experience Required:
• 0–2 years of experience

Eligibility Criteria:
• LL.B. degree from a recognized institution
• Enrolled with the Bar Council of India or Bar Council of West Bengal
• Strong interest in litigation and courtroom practice
• Good legal research and drafting skills

Practice Areas:
• Direct Taxation
• Indirect Taxation (GST and allied laws)
• White Collar Criminal Defence
• Allied Commercial and Regulatory Laws

Key Responsibilities:
• Legal research and case law analysis
• Drafting pleadings, opinions, submissions, and legal documents
• Assisting in taxation and white-collar crime matters
• Attending courts regularly for mentions, adjournments, and passovers
• Supporting litigation strategy and case preparation
• Progressively handling and arguing matters independently after gaining sufficient experience
