About the Internship
The Office of the District Collector, Vidisha (Madhya Pradesh), invites applications from final-year students and recent graduates for an intensive, in-person internship in public administration. This opportunity is designed for individuals eager to engage directly with grassroots governance and public service delivery.

This is a full-time, on-ground internship. It is neither remote nor online. No stipend, travel allowance, or daily allowance will be provided. A certificate will be awarded upon successful completion.

This opportunity is ideal for those who are deeply committed to understanding real-time governance challenges and are willing to work closely with bureaucrats managing the complexities of public administration. It is not suited for those seeking a casual or observational experience.


Eligibility

  • Final-year undergraduate or postgraduate students

  • Recent graduates from reputed institutions such as IITs, IIMs, Delhi University, TISS, Ashoka University, Azim Premji University, etc.

  • Candidates must be able to commit to a minimum duration of 4 weeks and stay full-time in Vidisha, Madhya Pradesh


Roles and Responsibilities

  • Assist the District Collector and district-level officials in daily governance tasks

  • Analyze real-time data related to health, education, and livelihood sectors

  • Coordinate field surveys and ground-level assessments

  • Draft policy briefs and progress reports

  • Track implementation of schemes and identify gaps in delivery

  • Become part of a focused, high-accountability team executing district-level initiatives

This is a serious, field-intensive role that demands discipline, proactivity, and a willingness to take ownership of tasks. There is no room for shadow work or symbolic participation.
