The Gauhati High Court was established on 1st March 1948, following the promulgation by the Governor-General of India. It came into effect on 5th April 1948, after the Government of India Act, 1935, was passed, for the then-province of Assam.
About the Job
The Gauhati High Court has issued an official notification inviting online applications for the temporary engagement of Law Clerks at its Principal Seat in Guwahati.
Post Vacancies, Remuneration, and Experience Requirements
- Senior Research Officer (Law): 2 vacancies, ₹94,000 – ₹1,25,000 per month, Minimum 8 years of experience
- Research Officer (Law): 3 vacancies, ₹64,000 – ₹1,10,000 per month, Minimum 4 years of experience
- Research Associate (Law): 2 vacancies, ₹45,000 – ₹80,000 per month, 0–3 years of experience
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must have a Graduate/Post Graduate degree in Law or a Doctorate in Law from a recognized University in India. The required educational qualifications must be completed by the last date of application submission. Preference will be given to candidates with experience as a practicing lawyer, professional experience, or literary works in Law. Candidates must also have a valid Employment Exchange Registration number for Assam.
