About the Programme:
The Centre for Human Rights, University of Pretoria is inviting applications for its prestigious LL.M. in Human Rights and Democratisation in Africa (HRDA).

This unique programme is delivered in collaboration with leading African universities, offering a continental perspective on human rights, governance, and democratisation. It is designed to equip participants with the legal knowledge, interdisciplinary understanding, and practical skills required to drive impactful change across Africa.

Programme Duration:
• January – December 2027

Eligibility:
• A law degree allowing access to the legal profession or
• An Honours degree in a relevant discipline (human rights, governance, etc.)
• Strong academic record
• Demonstrated interest or experience in human rights and democratisation

Key Highlights:
• Pan-African academic exposure through partner universities
• Interdisciplinary and practice-oriented curriculum
• Focus on real-world human rights challenges and policy frameworks
