Poovayya & Co. is inviting applications for the position of Associate / Senior Associate – Information Technology Lawyer at its Bengaluru office. This opportunity is ideal for experienced dispute resolution lawyers with expertise in technology law, intermediary liability, and the Information Technology Act. The selected candidate will be responsible for handling litigation and advisory matters for technology platforms and intermediaries while providing strategic legal advice and representation before courts.

Key Responsibilities:
• Handle litigation and advisory matters relating to technology platforms and intermediaries
• Provide strategic legal advice and represent clients before courts and regulatory authorities
• Draft pleadings, petitions, legal opinions, and other litigation documents
• Advise on intermediary liability, the Information Technology Act, and emerging technology laws
• Assist clients with content moderation, regulatory compliance, and criminal law-related issues
• Coordinate and work closely with foreign counsel on cross-border legal matters
• Conduct legal research and provide practical, business-oriented legal solutions

Eligibility & Preference:
• LL.B. degree from a recognized institution
• 4–6 years of Post-Qualification Experience (PQE)
• Strong understanding of India’s technology ecosystem, the Information Technology Act, and allied Rules
• Experience advising technology platforms and social media intermediaries
• Excellent legal research, drafting, advocacy, and client-management skills
• Ability to explain complex legal issues in practical business terms
• Exceptional command over the English language
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
• Ability to effectively communicate complex legal positions to foreign lawyers
