Nidhi S. is seeking a Research Assistant based in India for a 4-week paid engagement during Summer 2026. The selected candidate will support a research project exploring Global South perspectives on AI and labor, with a particular focus on carpet and rug weaving communities in Bhadohi, Uttar Pradesh.

Key Responsibilities:
• Building community connections ahead of the field visit
• Assisting with research coordination and outreach
• Supporting research documentation and data collection
• Contributing to discussions on AI, labor, and community-based research
• Assisting with project-related communication and logistics
Eligibility & Preference:
• Candidates from Design, Social Sciences, Anthropology, or related fields
• Fluency in Hindi is mandatory
• Interest in grassroots research and community engagement
• Strong communication and documentation skills
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting
