Core Areas of Focus:
• Commercial contracts — drafting, negotiation, and advisory on complex trading agreements across commodity markets
• Financing agreements — structured trade finance, borrowing base facilities, and related security documentation
• Shipping & logistics — charterparties, bills of lading, port agency, and freight-related legal matters
• M&A transactions — exposure to acquisitions, joint ventures, and corporate restructuring will be an added advantage
Preferred Candidate Profile:
• Qualified and trained in English law with a strong academic and professional background
• Minimum 15 years of post-qualification experience
• Prior experience in commodities trading houses, energy firms, or specialist practices preferred
• Ability to work independently, advise senior management, and manage external counsel
• Candidates based in Singapore or willing to relocate preferred
