Role Overview:
This is a litigation-focused role ideal for candidates looking to deepen their practical understanding of court procedures, drafting, and day-to-day chamber practice. The selected candidate will be actively involved in case preparation, filings, and court proceedings.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Drafting & Documentation
• Drafting pleadings, applications, written statements, and legal notices
• Preparing briefs, case summaries, and supporting documents
• Reviewing case files and ensuring documentation is complete
2. Court Work & Filings
• Assisting in court appearances and proceedings
• Handling filing work and procedural compliance
• Coordinating with court staff and registry
3. Legal Research & Case Preparation
• Conducting in-depth legal research on relevant laws and precedents
• Assisting in building legal arguments and case strategies
• Preparing notes for hearings and submissions
4. Chamber Support & Coordination
• Managing day-to-day chamber work
• Coordinating with clients and maintaining case records
• Supporting senior advocates in ongoing matters
Eligibility Criteria:
• 1–2 years of litigation experience
• Sound understanding of court procedures and processes
• Strong proficiency in legal drafting and research
