About the Programme:
The International Court of Justice (ICJ) is inviting applications for its prestigious Judicial Fellowship Programme 2026–2027. This highly competitive and fully funded fellowship offers young law graduates an unparalleled opportunity to work at the principal judicial organ of the United Nations and gain first-hand exposure to international adjudication.

Programme Highlights:
• Fully funded fellowship for a duration of 10 months
• Opportunity to work closely with ICJ judges and their legal teams
• Involvement in high-level legal research, case analysis, and drafting
• Exposure to complex public international law disputes between States
• Based at the Peace Palace, The Hague, Netherlands

Key Responsibilities:
• Assist judges with legal research on international law issues
• Support preparation of case materials, briefs, and memoranda
• Analyse pleadings and evidence in contentious and advisory proceedings
• Contribute to drafting of judicial opinions and internal notes

Eligibility & Requirements:
• Recent law graduates with strong academic background
• Nomination by a recognized university is mandatory
• Demonstrated interest in public international law
• Excellent research, analytical, and legal writing skills
• Strong command over English and/or French (working languages of the ICJ)
