ABOUT COURSE
Legal Drafting and Research are important skills that all legal professionals require. This course will teach you the critical rules and principles of drafting legal documents. Aside from comprehensively covering the best practices for drafting legal documents in general. Legal drafting and research skills, which can engage in various activities such as participating in legal writing competitions, joining moot court or mock trial programs, attending workshops or seminars, and seeking feedback from professors or legal professionals. It is also beneficial to familiarize oneself with legal drafting conventions, citation formats, and online legal research tools.
SYLLABUS
- Legal drafting : meaning, nature and scope; Principal and rules of legal drafting.
- Legal research: meaning, nature and scope; Role of Legal Researcher; Legal Investigator vs Legal Researcher.
- Civil drafting: Affidavit, Written Statement; Civil Suits;Matrimonial Petitions;
- Memorandum of Appeal and Memorandum of Revision.
- Criminal drafting: Applications; Complaints; Bail application; Written Statement;
- Memorandum of Appeal and Revision.
- Other drafting: Deed; Will; Trust; Power of Attorney and Promissory Note
OTHER DETAILS
- Classes will be on “Saturday” and “Sunday” only
- 4 Assignments will be given during the course for the evaluations
- Doubt sessions will be provided
- Notes will be provided

- Certificate will be provided after successful completion of course
