About the Video Making Contest

The Bureau of Police Research and Development (BPR&D) under the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), in partnership with MyGov, invites citizens, particularly the youth, to participate in the “Video Making Contest – Laws on Crime against Women.” The objective of this contest is to increase awareness of the New Criminal Laws, specifically:

  • Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023
  • Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023
  • Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam, 2023

Participants are required to create short videos that will help educate youth, including university and school students, about these new laws. The winning videos will be shared with various stakeholders in the criminal justice system.

Video Specifications

  • Duration: 2 to 5 minutes
  • Format: MP4
  • Language: Hindi, English, or Regional languages
  • Theme: Laws on Crime against Women

Terms and Conditions

  • Open to Indian citizens only.
  • No entry fee is required to participate.
  • Participants must register on MyGov (www.MyGov.in) to submit their entries.
  • MyGov profile details must be accurate and updated, as they will be used for communication.
  • Late submissions will not be considered.
  • Provocative, objectionable, or inappropriate content is strictly prohibited.
  • The BPR&D, MHA reserves the right to cancel or amend any part of the contest, including terms, evaluation criteria, or technical parameters.
  • Winners will be announced on https://blog.mygov.in/.
  • Participants will not receive notification if their entry is not selected.
  • Winners must provide bank details for prize disbursement. Failure to do so will result in disqualification.
  • Plagiarized, false, or erroneous submissions will be disqualified.
  • The BPR&D, MHA’s decision will be final and binding in case of any disputes.
  • Any legal disputes will be subject to Delhi jurisdiction.
  • Participation in the competition implies acceptance of all terms and conditions.

Prize

  • Best Entry: ₹10,000 (Rupees Ten Thousand Only)
