UPES School of Law International Moot Court Competition, 2026 (VidhiUtsav 3.0)

UPES, established under the UPES Act, 2003, is a leading UGC-recognized private university in Uttarakhand, India. The University is ranked 45th overall in the NIRF 2025 rankings and 18th in the Law category. It is also ranked the No. 1 private university in India for academic reputation in the QS World University Rankings 2025, placed among the top 3% universities globally, holds NAAC ‘A’ accreditation, and a QS 5-Star rating in employability.

The 2026 edition marks a significant expansion to a truly international platform, inviting participation from institutions across the globe. The moot proposition is based in the domain of International Humanitarian Law, addressing complex questions relating to armed conflicts, state responsibility, and humanitarian obligations.

The Preliminary Rounds and Quarter-Final Rounds will be conducted online to ensure global accessibility, while the advanced rounds will be held on campus to provide participants with the experience of live courtroom advocacy.

• Online Rounds: 5th – 7th March, 2026

• Offline Rounds: 10th – 12th April, 2026
