RESULTS OF INTER UNIVERSITY ELOCUTION COMPETITION BY NSS, NLU ASSAM

Inter-University Elocution Competition 

“You can sway a thousand men by appealing to their prejudices quicker than you can convince one man by logic.” 

Elocution is one of the academic activities that give students creative room to express what they feel. The length and breadth of knowledge that they gain through this is simply unparalleled. 

The NSS (National Service Scheme) unit of National Law University And Judicial Academy, Assam has set the benchmark for conducting activities in such a way that the students not only enjoy but also learn a great deal from it. The National Service Scheme was launched in Gandhiji’s Centenary year in 1969 and aims at developing student’s personality through community service inculcates among students a love for their society and an attitude to work towards the welfare of mankind and to carry forward the vision and endeavor was made by the NSS unit of NLUJAA that as a university not only seeks to provide the modern legal education and research facilities to students while instilling in them a sense of service thereby Moulding formidable legal professionals who will prove to be an asset to the nation. With the same perspective in view, the Inter-University Elocution Competition was held keeping in view of International Women’s Day. The Theme for the Competition was ‘GENDER EQUALITY TODAY FOR SUSTAINABLE TOMORROW’. 

All the teams exhibited great oratorical skills. They put in tremendous hard work to showcase their hidden talent. The Participators displayed confidence in presenting their speeches before audience and a panel of eminent jury members assistant Professor of law, NLU Assam, Dr. Shailendra Kumar and Assistant Professor, School of Juridical Sciences, University of Science and Technology, Meghalaya, Mr. Yasser Iftikar Rahman. 

At the end of this enthusiastic and interesting competition which lasted over one hour, finally the winner was declared. The students from various Universities Participated in the competition from which Kartik got the first position, second position was achieved by Urmika Pandey and the third winning position was achieved by Kajal Pandey. As a result, the Event established the foundation and spirit of healthy competition that is treasured in the NLUJAA.
