About the Scheme
The Research Internship Scheme at the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) offers young individuals the opportunity to engage in cutting-edge research in central banking. The program is best suited for those who have recently completed their education and aspire to pursue a Ph.D. in Economics, Finance, Banking, or related fields, or seek research-oriented positions in government institutions, academia, or financial organizations requiring strong quantitative and analytical skills.
Key Features
- Direct exposure to high-level research in monetary policy, financial markets, banking, and macroeconomics.
- Mentorship under experts at the RBI’s Department of Economic and Policy Research (DEPR) and Department of Statistics and Information Management (DSIM).

Eligibility
- Recent graduates or postgraduates in Economics, Finance, Banking, Statistics, Econometrics, or related fields.
