The National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) is a quasi-judicial body in India that adjudicates disputes related to company law, corporate insolvency, and restructuring. Established under the Companies Act, 2013, it was constituted on 1 June 2016, based on the recommendations of the V. Balakrishna Eradi Committee on insolvency and winding up of companies.
About the Job
The NCLT invites applications for the Law Research Associate role on a contractual basis across its Amravati (Andhra Pradesh), Ahmedabad, and New Delhi benches.
This role provides a unique opportunity to work closely with Hon’ble President/Members of the NCLT, gain hands-on corporate legal experience, and contribute to high-stakes commercial litigation and insolvency matters.
Eligibility Criteria
Essential Qualifications
- Law Graduate (LLB/LLM) with 50% aggregate marks from a BCI-recognized institute.
- Degree must be obtained within the last two years (Final-year law students are eligible).
- Age Limit: 30 years as of 5th April 2025.
- Strong legal research, analytical, and writing skills.
- Proficiency in legal research databases (eSCR, Manupatra, SCC Online, Westlaw, etc.) & MS Office.
- Sound knowledge of Company Law & Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code (IBC) is essential.
Salary & Pay Scale
- Amravati & Ahmedabad: ₹60,000/month
- New Delhi: ₹65,000/month
