Registrations Open | CIRP Simulation Competition 2026 | NALSAR University of Law

The Organising Committee of NCIBL 2.0 invites registrations for the CIRP Simulation Competition 2026, organised by the LL.M. (Insolvency and Bankruptcy Laws) Batch of 2025–27 at NALSAR University of Law, Hyderabad as part of the National Conclave on Insolvency and Bankruptcy Laws (NCIBL) 2.0.

The competition is designed to provide participants with a practical understanding of the Corporate Insolvency Resolution Process (CIRP) under the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, 2016. Through simulated proceedings, participants will engage in written and oral rounds replicating real-world insolvency processes before a Committee of Creditors (CoC) and a National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) Bench.

Competition Format

The competition will simulate the complete lifecycle of a CIRP, where participating teams will prepare and submit a Resolution Plan in the preliminary round, followed by oral rounds conducted before simulated CoC panels and an NCLT bench.

Prize Money

Total prize pool of ₹80,000
• ₹50,000 – Winning Team
• ₹30,000 – Runner-Up Team

Eligibility

The competition is open to:
• Students pursuing a 3-year or 5-year LL.B. programme from universities recognised by the Bar Council of India or a relevant statutory authority
• Students enrolled in LL.M. programmes from recognised universities
• Students pursuing Undergraduate or Postgraduate programmes in Finance, Management, Economics, or allied disciplines

Team Composition

Each team must consist of two members, assuming the roles of:
• Interim Resolution Professional (IRP) / Resolution Professional (RP)
• Resolution Applicant (RA)

Important Dates

• Early Bird Registration Deadline: 25 March 2026
• Regular Registration Deadline: 31 March 2026
• Release of Problem Statement: 2 April 2026
• Last Date for Clarifications: 5 April 2026
• Submission Deadline (Online Round): 9 April 2026
• On-Campus Competition: 11–12 April 2026 at NALSAR University of Law, Hyderabad

Registration Fees

• Early Bird: ₹4,000 per team (on or before 25 March 2026)
• Regular: ₹5,000 per team
