Position Open | Associate (Litigation) | Location: Delhi | Chambers of Prasenjeet Mohapatra

Applications are invited from legal professionals with 0–2 years PQE for the position of Associate at a Delhi-based law chambers, with an active Supreme Court and High Court practice.


Role Overview

The role involves:

  • Drafting and filing of pleadings

  • Legal research and case preparation

  • Appearances before the Supreme Court of India, Delhi High Court, and other judicial forums in Delhi

This is a court-facing litigation role requiring regular appearances and strong drafting discipline.


Essential Eligibility Criteria

  • LL.B. from a recognized university with a consistently strong academic record

  • Strong command over English, with the ability to draft complex legal arguments, prepare case briefs, and appear in court when required

  • Sound understanding of constitutional, administrative, and procedural laws

  • Proficiency in MS Office and PDF editing tools

  • Excellent legal research skills, including working knowledge of SCC Online and Indian Kanoon

  • Prior experience in independent case management before the Supreme Court, Delhi High Court, or other forums, including drafting of SLPs, writ petitions, written submissions, rejoinders, and counter affidavits, is preferable

  • This is a Delhi-based position requiring regular court appearances

  • The role is suited for candidates seeking long-term growth in litigation

  • Not intended as a stop-gap role for exploring alternative legal careers

  • High levels of commitment, discipline, and ability to work under strict deadlines are essential


Compensation
