Internship Details

Duration: 1 month (Internships begin on the first working day and conclude on the last working day of the month)
Mode: Offline (New Delhi)
Eligibility: Law students enrolled in a full-time law degree program accredited by the Bar Council of India.
Internship Categories:

Patents – Open only to students with at least a graduation degree in science. Covers patents, designs, plant varieties, technology, and telecom law.
General IP – Covers all other aspects of Intellectual Property law, including IP+ (environment and consumer protection law).

Types of Internships at ALG

1. Pre-Final Year Internship (Unpaid)

Open to 4th-year students (5-year program) & 2nd-year students (3-year program).
Applications can be submitted from 12 months before entering the pre-final year until 1 month before exiting it.
Only one internship is allowed at the pre-final year level.

2. Final Year (Follow-On) Internship (Paid/Unpaid)

Open to final-year students who have completed a Pre-Final Year Internship at ALG and received a recommendation.
A minimum 6-month gap is required between the Pre-Final and Final Year Internship.
Paid only if it is an assessment internship for placement (₹12,500 stipend).
Selection is highly competitive.

3. Final Year (Regular) Internship (Unpaid)

Open to final-year students who did not intern at ALG in their pre-final year or did not receive a recommendation.
Applications can be submitted from 12 months before entering the final year until 1 month before exiting it.
