About the Organisation
The International Law Students Association (ILSA) is a globally recognised non-profit association dedicated to the study and advancement of international law. ILSA supports a worldwide community of law students and young professionals through academic initiatives, research projects and flagship programmes such as the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition. This volunteer research project is part of ILSA’s ongoing commitment to strengthening international law scholarship and databases.
Eligibility
Law students with a demonstrated interest in international law are eligible to apply. Additional considerations include:

Prior involvement in the Jessup Competition (preferred but not mandatory)

Strong research abilities and attention to detail

Willingness to contribute voluntarily to an international academic project

Ability to meet timelines and work independently
This is not a paid opportunity. Selected volunteers will receive an official certificate from ILSA upon successful completion of the project.
Roles and Responsibilities
Selected volunteers will support ILSA in a database-oriented research project. The role includes:

Conducting targeted research on international law materials

Assisting in building, organising and updating the assigned database

Ensuring accuracy, consistency and relevance of collected information

Coordinating with the project lead for periodic submissions and quality checks

Maintaining confidentiality and academic integrity throughout the assignment
