About the Opportunity:
The Institute of International Legal Studies (IILS), University of the Philippines Law Center, is inviting submissions for the International Legal Studies Journal (ILSJ). The journal is a peer-reviewed annual publication with a legacy of rigorous scholarship and high-quality academic writing. Authors are invited to submit original and unpublished articles, case comments, or book reviews in the fields of international law and international relations.

Eligibility:
This call is open to:

  • Academics and researchers

  • Law students and graduate students

  • Legal practitioners and policy professionals
    All submissions must be original, unpublished, and formatted according to Bluebook citation standards.

Topics Covered:
Submissions may address themes including:

  • Sources and subjects of international law

  • International criminal law, environmental law, and trade law

  • ASEAN law, space law, and comparative international law

  • International dispute resolution, courts, and tribunals

  • International development, sustainability, and global governance

  • Foreign policy, critical approaches, and historical perspectives

  • Emerging issues in public international law and international relations

Submission Requirements:

  • Original articles: 6,000–10,000 words

  • Case comments: 3,000–5,000 words

  • Abstract: 150–200 words

  • Submissions must follow Bluebook formatting and be sent in Word (.docx) format.
