About:
The T.M.C. Asser Instituut, an internationally renowned centre for research in international and European law, is inviting applications for the position of Researcher in Private International Law. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to high-impact academic and commissioned projects in collaboration with leading scholars and institutions.

Eligibility:

  • Advanced degree (PhD or equivalent research experience) in Private International Law or a closely related field.

  • Proven track record of academic research and publication.

  • Strong understanding of international and European legal frameworks.

  • Excellent analytical, drafting, and communication skills.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct and publish research aligned with the Asser Institute’s research agenda.

  • Coordinate and contribute to externally funded or commissioned projects.

  • Provide expert legal advice on private international and comparative law.

  • Collaborate with colleagues at the Asser Institute and the Amsterdam Centre for Transformative Private Law (ACT).

  • Participate in editing the Nederlands Internationaal Privaatrecht (NIPR) journal.
