About the Organisation:
The Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab (J-PAL South Asia) is a globally renowned research centre focused on reducing poverty through evidence-based policy interventions. The current project, led by Dr. Manaswini Rao and Dr. Raghav Pandey (NLU Delhi), explores paralegal counselling and information interventions in debt recovery cases.
Eligibility:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Law, Economics, Public Policy, or related disciplines.

Strong interest in empirical legal studies, economics of enforcement, and behavioural interventions.

Willingness to work from Mumbai or Pune.
Roles and Responsibilities:

Support the design and implementation of field studies.

Manage survey design, data collection, and coordination workflows.

Liaise with courts, banks, and research teams.

Contribute to analysis and policy translation of empirical findings.
