Nature Environment and Wildlife Society (NEWS) is a conservation-focused NGO based in Kolkata, committed to protecting biodiversity and natural ecosystems across India. We are seeking a Programme Coordinator to lead and strengthen our conservation initiatives. The role is based in Kolkata and involves Pan-India field travel.
Eligibility

Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Natural Resource Management, Social Sciences, or related fields.

7–10 years of programme management experience, preferably in NGOs or conservation organisations.

Strong knowledge of MEAL, donor compliance, and reporting.

Excellent communication and writing skills in English and Bengali.
Roles and Responsibilities

Lead and manage conservation programmes aligned with NEWS’s mission.

Ensure compliance with donor requirements, prepare project reviews, and reports.

Draft proposals, build and maintain donor relationships.

Strengthen team capacity and monitor programme delivery.
