Eligibility:

Barred lawyer in an EU jurisdiction or the UK (preferably France, UK, Portugal, or Germany).

Minimum 6 years of post-bar experience in global privacy compliance programs; 4–5 years in-house experience preferred.

Experience with ISO 27001 & ISO 27701, data protection contracts, and privacy frameworks.

Fluency in English (with an additional European language a plus).

Privacy certifications such as CIPP/E, CIPM, or CIPT are advantageous.
Roles and Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain global privacy compliance programs across EMEA, APAC, US, and LATAM.

Advise cross-functional teams (Product, Marketing, Sales, Operations) on privacy-by-design initiatives.

Negotiate data sharing and processing agreements, manage vendor risk, and support certification compliance.

Handle data breach responses, individual rights requests, and liaise with government or law enforcement authorities.

Monitor and implement emerging privacy trends and coordinate training sessions for internal teams.
