About:
The African Society of International Law (AfSIL), in collaboration with ILA-Brazil and the Latin-American Society of International Law (LASIL), is inviting paper proposals for its upcoming international conference titled “Regional Approaches to International Law: What Role in a Dividing World?” The conference will take place from 26–28 August 2026 at the Federal University of Minas Gerais Law School, Belo Horizonte, Brazil. The event aims to explore how regional perspectives influence and challenge international law during a period of global fragmentation.
Eligibility:

Scholars, researchers, and practitioners with an interest in international law and regional legal frameworks.

Abstracts should be ≤ 500 words.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Selected participants will:

Present their papers during the conference sessions.

Engage with an international community of scholars from the Global South.

Contribute to discussions on norm-creation and innovation in international law.
