About the Role
The Construction & Infrastructure practice at Jones Day London seeks a mid-level associate (4–6 PQE) to join its highly regarded disputes team. The role provides exposure to high-value, complex construction and engineering disputes in the UK and internationally, including arbitration, litigation, and ADR.
Key Responsibilities

Advising clients on contentious construction issues (delays, defects, variations, terminations, liability, performance bonds, etc.)

Drafting pleadings, submissions, witness statements, expert reports, and legal opinions

Managing all phases of disputes: document review, evidence, ADR, hearings, enforcement

Working with and interpreting standard and bespoke construction contracts (JCT, NEC, FIDIC, etc.)

Coordinating with international teams and counsel on cross-border matters

Supporting business development efforts and mentoring junior lawyers where required
Eligibility
-
England & Wales qualified lawyer with 4–6 years PQE in construction disputes

Strong track record in arbitration, litigation (TCC or equivalent), and ADR
-
Experience in infrastructure, energy, transport, or major development projects
-
Excellent technical, drafting, project management, and client-facing skills
