About the Role
The London School of Economics (LSE) Law School is inviting applications for the position of LSE Fellow in Medical Law. This is a three-year fixed-term appointment beginning in January 2026. The selected candidate will join LSE’s distinguished Medical Law team and will have the opportunity to contribute to teaching while further developing their own research in a dynamic and supportive academic environment.

Eligibility

  • A PhD in Law (or submission of PhD thesis in Law by the application date).

  • Demonstrated research expertise in Medical Law, with potential to contribute significantly to the discipline.

  • Evidence of potential to produce a body of high-quality publications in peer-reviewed journals.

  • Potential to develop a national and international reputation for research in Medical Law.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Undertake teaching responsibilities in Medical Law at undergraduate and/or postgraduate level.

  • Contribute to the intellectual and academic life of the LSE Law School.

  • Engage in high-quality research, with the aim of producing impactful publications.

  • Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to the growth of the Medical Law team.
