About the Opportunity:
Unilever Ice Cream, the world’s largest ice cream company with iconic brands like Magnum, Wall’s, and Ben & Jerry’s, is seeking a Senior Legal Associate to join its legal team in Pune. This role offers exposure to global data privacy, compliance, and risk management in a fast-growing consumer goods business, providing the chance to work at the intersection of law, technology, and operations.
Eligibility:

Law graduate with minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in privacy, data protection, or compliance.

Experience in drafting privacy policies, notices, procedures, and managing Data Subject Rights (DSRs).

Familiarity with data privacy laws, Privacy Risk Assessments (PRAs), and Data Protection Impact Assessments.

Strong communication, stakeholder management, and analytical skills.

Experience in large, complex business environments, preferably in consumer goods or retail.

Knowledge of privacy management tools such as OneTrust or ServiceNow is a plus.
Roles and Responsibilities:

Act as the first point of contact for brands and functions on privacy risk assessments.

Support operational privacy tasks, including data mapping, record maintenance, and handling privacy queries.

Collaborate with local and central privacy teams, business stakeholders, and third-party compliance teams.

Manage updates to privacy and cookie notices and support employee training on data privacy.

Conduct privacy impact assessments, risk analyses, and support investigations of privacy incidents.

Prepare reports, maintain records, and ensure compliance with global and local data protection laws.
