Researchers from the London School of Economics (LSE) and the Norwegian School of Economics (NHH) are inviting applications for a full-time, paid Research Assistant position. The RA will work on a randomised controlled trial (RCT) project based in Ranchi, focusing on evaluating development interventions using a rigorous mixed-methods approach. This role offers hands-on research experience in survey methodology, fieldwork, data collection, and analysis—making it an excellent stepping stone for candidates considering a PhD in Economics, Sociology, Political Science, Public Policy, or related disciplines.
Eligibility
- Background in Economics, Sociology, Political Science, Public Policy, or allied fields
- Strong research and analytical skills
- Interest in evidence-based policy, impact evaluation, and applied research
- Based in India (remote work allowed)
- Especially suited for candidates planning to pursue a PhD
Roles and Responsibilities
- Assist in designing and implementing surveys for the RCT project
- Conduct mixed-methods research, including qualitative and quantitative approaches
- Support fieldwork and data collection in Ranchi
- Perform data analysis and contribute to drafting insights for the study
- Collaborate closely with the research team on project execution and academic outputs
