About:
Gallifrey Foundation is a marine conservation not-for-profit dedicated to upstream systemic change for positive environmental impact. Its work spans areas including shark protection, deep seabed mining, plastic pollution, chemical regulation, overfishing, ocean litigation and rights, whaling, and gender equality in ocean and climate issues.
Eligibility / Requirements:
- Proven experience in social media drafting and posting (mandatory).
- Genuine interest in or knowledge of marine conservation topics, or relevant academic background (e.g., marine biology, environmental studies).
- Excellent command of English and strong grammar skills.
- Good sense of aesthetics and branding.
- Flexibility and enthusiasm; a positive attitude and sense of humor are valued.
- Preference given to applicants from the Global South, though all applications are welcome.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Manage and regularly update social media accounts, prioritizing Instagram, LinkedIn, and Facebook; Threads account secondary.
- Support development of YouTube content in the near term.
- Work remotely and collaborate with a small, dynamic team according to the communications strategy.
