About:
The Centre for Human Rights, University of Pretoria, in collaboration with the Raoul Wallenberg Institute, is seeking qualified consultants to conduct a study on how gender is addressed in decisions by African Union and Regional Economic Community human rights bodies. The study will evaluate adjudications affecting women and girls and provide recommendations for consistent, gender-transformative interpretations across the African human rights system.
Eligibility / Requirements:
- Master’s degree in Human Rights.
- Expertise in the African Human Rights System.
- Extensive research and publication experience on women’s rights.
- Proficiency in English (knowledge of other African Union languages is an advantage).
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Analyse adjudication practices regarding gender in African human rights decisions.
- Develop recommendations to promote gender-transformative approaches across the system.
- Prepare research outputs and reports as per the consultancy guidelines.
