Role Overview:
The Associate Counsel – Trademarks will work closely with senior counsel to manage all aspects of U.S. and international trademark and copyright matters, supporting legal strategy across ELC brands.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide legal advice on trademark and copyright law

Review and analyze trademark search reports; prepare memoranda

Draft and negotiate license, co-existence, and settlement agreements

Own U.S. prosecution of trademark applications and respond to Office Actions
-
Manage domain name disputes and anti-counterfeiting enforcement

Advise clients on proper trademark usage and legal risks
-
Manage outside counsel on conflict matters

Collaborate with marketing, creative, and senior leadership teams

Exercise independent judgment on company legal matters
Qualifications:
-
5–7 years of experience; in-house experience preferred

Member of the New York State Bar

Consumer products industry experience preferred

Strong knowledge of U.S. and international trademark law

Ability to work in a fast-paced, matrixed environment

Excellent collaboration and relationship-building skills

Compensation & Benefits:

Base salary: $120,550 – $208,200/year
