About the Opportunity
The Office for Digital and Emerging Technologies (ODET) of the United Nations is inviting applications for Online Volunteers (AI Governance). Volunteers will support research, analysis, and report drafting for the first Global Dialogue on AI Governance, scheduled for July 2026.
This opportunity offers a chance to contribute directly to a flagship UN initiative on global digital governance.
About the Role
Selected volunteers will work closely with ODET’s Programme Management Officer and contribute to understanding how AI governance frameworks translate into real-world implementation.
Key responsibilities include:

Research and analysis on industry experiences in implementing AI governance

Examining how AI laws and regulations influence technology policies and design choices

Supporting consultations with industry stakeholders

Drafting and synthesizing reports for the Global Dialogue on AI Governance
