About the Competition
The National Virtual Intellectual Property Rights Essay Writing Competition 2025 invites law students, researchers, and professionals to critically engage with IPR issues in the AI era and analyze the impact of recent legislative changes.
Eligibility Criteria
Open to:
- Undergraduate & Postgraduate Law Students
- LL.M. Candidates
- Ph.D. Scholars
Submission Categories:
- Single Author Submissions
- Co-authorship (Maximum: 2 authors per submission)
Themes for the Essay
Participants must submit essays on one of the following themes:
- Legal Accountability for AI-Driven Intellectual Property Infringements: An Analysis of International and Indian Laws
- Effect of Jan Vishwas (Amendment of Provisions) Act, 2023: Decriminalization of IP Law
Prizes & Rewards
Cash Prizes
- 1st Place: ₹7,000
- 2nd Place: ₹5,000
- 3rd Place: ₹3,000
Publication Opportunity
- Selected essays may be considered for publication in SCC Online Journal (subject to editorial approval).

- Research & Citation Accuracy: 20%
Plagiarism Limit: Maximum 10% (exceeding this will lead to disqualification).
