Job Opportunity: Senior Associate – Corporate Transactions at Acuity Law, Mumbai
About the Role
Acuity Law is seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Associate to join its Mumbai office. This is a high-impact role involving significant responsibility in handling corporate M&A, private equity (PE), and venture capital (VC) transactions. The ideal candidate will be comfortable managing end-to-end deal processes and advising on complex corporate matters.
Eligibility Criteria
- Bachelor’s Degree in Law (3-year or 5-year in-person program)
- 3–6 years of relevant experience in corporate transactional work, with a focus on M&A and PE/VC deals
- Strong legal acumen and proven skills in research, drafting, and analytical reasoning
- Excellent verbal and written communication, negotiation, and organizational abilities
- Ability to multitask and manage high-stakes, time-sensitive projects
- Must be Bar Council registered
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct legal due diligence and manage deal processes
- Draft, review, and negotiate key transactional documents:
- M&A agreements
- Share purchase agreements
- Joint venture agreements
- Other commercial contracts
- Appear before courts and tribunals as needed
- Provide comprehensive legal advice on corporate and commercial law issues
- Support clients through the entire lifecycle of transactions, including closings
