About the Internship:
The International Commission of Jurists (ICJ) is inviting applications for a Legal Internship under its Global Accountability Initiative. This opportunity offers meaningful engagement with international human rights law, particularly in support of a high-level forum scheduled for November 2025.

Location: Remote
Start Date: Immediate
Duration: Until December 2025

Eligibility:

  • Advanced law students or recent graduates (preferably with coursework in international law, human rights, or transitional justice)

  • Demonstrated interest in accountability and international legal frameworks

  • Strong legal research and drafting skills

  • Fluency in English (additional UN languages are an asset)

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct legal and policy research

  • Assist in drafting a background paper for a high-level forum

  • Support advocacy and documentation efforts related to the ICJ’s accountability mandate

  • Collaborate with the Global Accountability team on thematic and regional priorities
