About PRS Legislative Research
PRS Legislative Research (PRS) is a non-profit organization established in September 2005 to enhance the transparency, accessibility, and effectiveness of the Indian legislative process. Based in New Delhi, PRS provides independent research and analysis to help policymakers and citizens engage with legislative affairs.
Internship Opportunity
PRS invites applications for its offline research internship in February 2025 at its Delhi office.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Assisting PRS analysts in research related to legislative and policy matters.
- Undertaking an independent research project on a policy or legislative issue.
- Providing research support for parliamentary debates and lawmaking.
Internship Structure
- During a Parliament session, interns work on real-time legislative issues with PRS analysts.
- During a non-session period, interns are assigned projects based on their area of interest.
Eligibility & Skills Required
- Strong writing and analytical skills.
- Interest in parliamentary procedures and policy research.
- Open to students and professionals interested in legislative analysis.
Duration & Mode
- 4 to 8 weeks (flexible).
- In-office internship (Delhi-based; remote work is not available).
Stipend & Accommodation
- Unpaid internship (no remuneration or accommodation provided).
