Position: Legal Associate

Location: Kolkata
Experience: 3+ years in technology law, cybersecurity, or compliance

Eligibility:

Education:

LLB / LLM from a recognized university.

Skills & Experience:

3+ years of experience in technology law, cybersecurity, or compliance.
Strong understanding of crypto regulations, digital evidence laws, and law enforcement collaboration.
Experience with contract drafting, litigation, and regulatory compliance.
Familiarity with blockchain technology and crypto transactions (preferred).

Responsibilities:

Regulatory Compliance & Data Protection:

Ensure compliance with the IT Act, 2000, DPDP, and the forthcoming Personal Data Protection Bill.
Draft and review privacy policies for handling sensitive investigation data.

Law Enforcement Collaboration & Confidentiality:

Draft agreements for partnerships with government agencies and LEAs.
Create confidentiality agreements for sensitive investigations.
Structure service-level agreements (SLAs) for forensic services.

Licensing & Certification:

Assist in obtaining and maintaining certifications for crypto-forensic solutions to ensure acceptability in court.
Provide legal assistance in preparing bids for government projects and ensure compliance with procurement laws.

Dispute Resolution & Litigation:

Draft and respond to legal notices from clients, vendors, or employees.
Provide arbitration or litigation support in case of agreement breaches.
Initiate legal action in case of infringement.

Legal Support for Investigations:

Ensure compliance with the Indian Evidence Act and maintain chain of custody for digital evidence.
Assist in presenting crypto-forensic evidence in court and ensuring its admissibility.

Risk Management & Liability:

Draft agreements that limit liability for investigations conducted.
Represent the company in cases of alleged mishandling of sensitive investigation data.

Sector-Specific Expertise:

Stay updated with evolving crypto regulations in India and globally.
Provide guidance on compliance with laws governing private investigation firms.
