The Youth Parliament Society of Law College Dehradun faculty of Uttaranchal University presents the National event for the Youth of the Nation “Organised in collaboration with the UN Information Centre for India and Bhutan.”
About Uttaranchal University
Uttaranchal University, located at Dehradun, Uttarakhand, India near Indian Military Academy, was established by an Act of the Uttarakhand Legislative Assembly. Established under Shri Shushila Devi education foundation act of a State University and UGC act 12(B) with affiliation to AICTE. The University has been accredited with Grade “A+” by NAAC, the first and only University in Uttarakhand accredited. Uttaranchal University has at its core a commitment towards diffusion of legal, scientific, technical and professional knowledge on one hand and on the other the building up of the character of youth by integrating ethics with education and practice with theory.
About Law College Dehradun
Law College Dehradun has contributed towards legal education in all aspects of the country since its inception in 2002 and inauguration by his Excellency Shri Surjeet Singh Barnala, the then governor of Uttarakhand. The college provides research-based work and opportunities through various competitions at different levels that are aimed at striking a balance between legal theory and practice which has also set a paradigm for legal education in the nation. The college holds a sought-after position of being one of the best law schools in the country with scholarly and experience-rich faculty.
About Youth Parliament Society
Youth Parliament Society of Law College Dehradun constitutes the characteristic elements of continuity and collectivism working as the fundamentals to enhance our socio-political skills. It provides an innovative platform to the students, giving them several opportunities to enhance their public speaking and argumentative skills by discussing matters concerning the future of the nation.
We believe that students are the future custodians of the rich heritage of our nation and they must realize the need to work extensively to imbibe contemporary social and political values and to take a stand on matters of high concern. The main aim for the formation of the Youth Parliament Society was to inculcate essentials of liberty in thoughts and actions, equality in opportunities to the students and fraternity in ourselves and also in the youth in general.
About LCDMUN 4.0 
LCDMUN 4.0 which is being “Organised in collaboration with the UN Information Centre for India and Bhutan” on 23rd and 24th April, 2022, provides a platform to put forward opinions on matters of National and International relevance. Model United Nations and Youth Parliament helps in improving speaking skills, critical thinking, diplomacy and knowledge regarding various ongoing issues to arrive to a conclusion and also broadened perspective on global issues.
It also establishes itself as an opportunity to improve interaction with several people having varied ambitions which helps in understanding other views on the matters.
This year in LCD MUN there are 5 committees:
UNITED NATIONS SECURITY COUNCIL
AGENDA: – Rethinking the role-playing by UNSC in efficaciously addressing precipitating global crisis in the face of Afghanistan and Ukrainian cul de sac.
UNITED NATIONS GENERAL ASSEMBLY
AGENDA: – Decoding the Pegasus disruption in the state of art cyber warfare arsenal: A global technological affront.
ALL INDIA POLITICAL PARTY MEET
AGENDA: – Deliberation on Genocides and their effect on the citizens of the nation vis-à-vis the Need for Rehabilitation Policy for Kashmiri Pandits.
LEGISLATIVE ASSEMBLY OF UTTARAKHAND
AGENDA: – Preserving the spirit of Uttrakhandiyat: The emergent need of Bhoo Kanoon in the teeth of Population displacement.
INTERNATIONAL PRESS/

Media houses at International level covering events across the world and generating
awareness among masses regarding the same.
Media Houses at National level covering events
around the nation and to create awareness
among the citizens regarding the same.
ELIGIBILITY: – All the students who are pursuing under graduate and post graduate degrees from bonafide colleges and universities shall be qualified to participate in LCDMUN 2022

The Winners will be provided with the Prize money, Trophy and a Certificate of Appreciation. All the Participants will be awarded a Certificate of Participation.

– NON UTTARANCHAL UNIVERSITY STUDENTS – ₹1200
