People United for Law, Education and Rehabilitation (PULER), a student-led initiative of the National Law Institute University, Bhopal, has undertaken a meaningful step towards transforming young lives through education. What began in Mendora Village with support for primary education through creative and consistent teaching has now grown into a larger commitment through the launch of the Parvarish Scheme.
The Scheme is designed to assist bright and hardworking children of Mendora School in continuing their education without disruption due to financial constraints. Under this initiative, students from Class 6 to Class 12 are enabled to pursue their schooling at Sharda Vihar School, Bhopal, at an average annual cost of ₹26,000 to ₹30,000 per child.
Support for the scheme may be extended individually, collectively, or through periodic contributions, as per one’s capacity. True to its name “Parvarish”, meaning to nurture with care, consistency, and compassion the initiative envisions contributors not merely as financial supporters, but as mentors, guides, and extended family. Contributors will remain connected through transparent updates on both fund utilisation and the academic as well as holistic growth of the children.
By creating a merit-based pool of students through objective assessments, PULER ensures that assistance reaches those who most need and deserve it. Beyond financial aid, the scheme provides a sense of belonging, hope, and encouragement, allowing children to pursue their aspirations unhindered by economic barriers.
The National Law Institute University, Bhopal, together with its Student Bar Association, extends its support to this noble initiative. In doing so, the University community is pleased to associate itself with PULER’s efforts and, in that spirit, conveys this invitation to all who may wish to contribute towards the cause.
The Parvarish Scheme is not a call for charity, but a call for shared responsibility and compassion. It is about believing in a child’s potential and walking alongside them in their journey of growth and learning. PULER, with the support of the SBA and the wider NLIU community, aspires that more individuals will come forward ensuring that no child has to choose between dreams and dues.
